A new species of leaf fish, Nandus banshlaii (Perciformes: Nandidae) from West Bengal, India

چکیده
Nandus banshlaii, sp. nov. described from the Banshlai River of West Bengal. This species is distinguished all its congeners in having a golden brown body live and combination characters like longest head snout length (44.28% SL 35.58% HL respectively) two Indian containing largest eye diameter (22.22% HL), pre-dorsal (47.16% SL), shortest pectoral fin (14.60% SL) smallest dorsal base (45.53% SL).Like three Ganga-Brahmaputra-Meghna river basin Gangetic delta it possess dark spot on caudal peduncle. To differentiate present other Nandus, N. nandus andrewi, PCA heatmap performed key also provided.
